Defining words

Freeware-Software that is provided without charge. Examples of freeware are AvantGo, a software that saves condensed versions of Web pages, and MadCalc, a program for medical calculations.

Shareware- Software that is distributed without payment ahead of time as is common for proprietary software. Some examples for shareware are sharing music and pirated music.

Open Source- refers to projects that are open to the public and which draw on other projects that are freely available to the general public. Yes, I do use open source. I use Google Documents and YouTube.

Commercial Software- refers to any software that is designed for sale to serve a comercial need. Examples are Managers Plus Pro and Raisers Edge.

My snow day

On my snow day, I stayed home all day and spent some time with my mom. Around 4:30 I headed to the school for a cheerleading competition at Monroe High School. Varsity went with us. The competition started at 7:00 p.m. In our division we only faced one other team which was Southgate. The Monroe team only had a Varsity team, but if they would of had a JV team we would had also faced them. I knew a girl on the Monroe team and we aren't really friends, she has hated me for odd reasons. I don't really know her at all and she does not know me. At the competition she saw me and was gving me nasty looks. At one point we were lining up on the mats the national anthem, and she yelled a fowl name to me and I looked at her and her and her friends were laughing. I choose not to say anything to her because I wanted to be the bigger person. Otherwise, I had a good snowday, even though we took 2nd out of 2 teams, our scores compared to last competition were so much better!

My thoughts on Arizona shooting

I thought it was a great tragedy. But we can't help other people's actions. One of the congress womans said that it was the media. I honestly think that it was not the media. Not everyone likes all congessman. So it really could have been anyone. The other people that was killed obviously was no accident. It is bery sad and these kinds of things do happen. They are random deaths and they will never make sense.

Bedford Cheer Blog

Cheerleading is something that always has caught my attention. Since I am a cheerleader, I just went to the Bedford Cheer blog. The blog tells you about upcoming practices, football or basketball games, and competitions. It is very useful when you have no idea when you have practice. What I don't like about the blog is the calender at the bottom of it has Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Junior High practices and competitions. Sometimes it is hard to understand the calender. What I do like about it is, the varsity coach keeps things updated so all I have to do is look on the blog.
